Contingency-Based Representation

Keystone operates exclusively on a retroactive (contingency) basis.
This means our compensation is tied only to the past-due benefits (back pay) you’re awarded by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

  • Our fee is 25% of back pay or $9,200—whichever is less, in full compliance with federal and Colorado state law.

  • You owe nothing unless your claim results in retroactive compensation.

  • There are no upfront fees, retainers, or hourly charges.

What We Do

Keystone offers non-accredited pre-consultation and case organization services designed to help you:

  • Clarify and document your conditions and service connections.

  • Review and organize medical and service evidence.

  • Prepare effectively for Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations.

  • Understand the claims process, timelines, and best practices.

Our role is to support and guide—not represent—in your VA interactions, ensuring that your claim is thoroughly and accurately prepared before submission.

Post-Rating HR Consulting

Once your rating is awarded, Keystone offers optional post-rating HR consulting services to help you understand and utilize the benefits connected to your new status.

This includes guidance on:

• State-level veteran benefits and exemptions.

• CHAMPVA, DEA/Chapter 35, and other federal family programs.

• Adding dependents and updating VA profiles.

• Employment considerations, ADA accommodations, and HR-related questions.

• Education options, property tax strategies, and VA home loan benefits.

Consulting sessions are billed at $250 per hour, and we tailor each session to your specific goals, circumstances, and questions.
